ABOUT

JP Donovan Construction provided Design/Build, General Contract and Project Management services for this DX-A2 government rated, high-bay satellite processing facility. Working closely with our customer, JP Donovan developed all design and construction documentation as well as provided construction and commissioning services.  This facility was constructed as an addition/ alteration to an existing processing facility, and included renovation of 8,000 square feet and the addition of 21,000 square feet of SCIF spacecraft processing area.

Extensive planning, tracking, inspection, coordination and issue resolution methods were employed to meet an aggressive schedule. Our efforts resulted in the delivery of this facility two months ahead of schedule, while meeting all of our customer’s performance and budgetary requirements.

  • Fully Automatic Web Based Environmental Controls
  • 60 ton Overhead Bridge Crane with a 100 foot hook height
  • Secure Red and Black Telecommunication Systems
  • 660 yards of a continuously poured concrete footing
  • 500 tons of red iron
  • 30’ x 80’ sliding RF shielded door
  • Asphalt apron, parking and roadway
  • Self-performed all foundation and slab on grade concrete work
  • Facility commissioning
